I figured any more recipes than 3 would just be over kill and I don't want to injure anyone's scrolling finger! However, the pizza recipes featured are unique and delicious.

I have also included a list of my favorite recipe websites where you can do a search for pizza recipes that suit your own tastes.

ENJOY!

Breakfast PIzza

This recipe originates from The Year in Food, however, I found it pinned on Pinterest. I have made variations of this recipe and found it absolutely delicious.

Whether you buy your pizza dough or make it yourself, the end result is the same...DELICIOUS! I have varied the ingredients to this recipe, depending upon what I have in my cupboard. I have used mushrooms, spinach, ham, and onions. But the egg is what really makes this recipe great, that is the ingredient that stays constant!

I have also experimented with different cheeses, so although the original recipe calls for Manchego cheese, feel free to experiment.

Prep time: 30 min
Cook time: 30 min
Ready in: 1 hour
Yields: 6

Ingredients

  • 16 Oz pizza dough (purchased or homemade)
  • 4 -5 stalks asparagus
  • sliced thinly on the diagonal
  • 4 slices bacon
  • cooked and chopped
  • 8 ounces manchego cheese
  • grated (can substitute mozzarella or other cheese)
  • 6 eggs
  • arugula
  • olive oil
  • salt + pepper
  • cornmeal (or flour)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Place pizza stone in oven to preheat it as well. (You can use a cookie sheet if you don't have a pizza stone.)
  2. Roll dough on floured surface until nice and thin. Have all toppings prepared and at hand near oven.
  3. Remove hot pizza stone from oven. Sprinkle with cornmeal. Arrange dough on stone, brush olive oil over surface, and sprinkle with salt. Acting quickly, sprinkle first cheese, then bacon and finally asparagus over dough and place in the oven.
  4. At about 5 minutes, which will be your halfway point, remove pizza from oven. Crack three eggs over pizza. Return to oven and cook for another 5 minutes, until whites have set. You can cook it a little longer if you'd like firmer yolks.
  5. Remove from oven and immediately spread arugula over pizza. Allow to cool for a few minutes, then serve.

Cauliflower Pizza Crust

Cauliflower Crust Pizza Recipe

This recipe is on my list of recipes to try...needless to say I have a lot on my list... I've experimented with riced cauliflower previously and LOVED it, so I can imagine this crust would be just as delicious.

his recipe originated from Eat. Drink. Smile. This cauliflower crust eliminates a lot of the fat and unhealthy ingredients found in regular pizza dough, so it ends up being a great alternative!

According to advice given on the website, this pizza is best eaten with a fork as the crust may not be as strong as regular pizza crust would be. Enjoy and let me know how the recipe turns out if you decide to try it!

Prep time: 20 min
Cook time: 20 min
Ready in: 40 min
Yields: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 cup riced cauliflower, cooked
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp crushed garlic
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • olive oil (optional)
  • pizza sauce
  • shredded cheese
  • your choice of precooked toppings

Instructions

  1. To "Rice" the Cauliflower:
  2. Take 1 large head of fresh cauliflower, remove stems and leaves, and chop the florets into chunks. Add to food processor and pulse until it looks like grain. Do not over-do pulse or you will puree it. (If you don't have a food processor, you can grate the whole head with a cheese grater). Place the riced cauliflower into a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 8 minutes (some microwaves are more powerful than others, so you may need to reduce this cooking time). There is no need to add water, as the natural moisture in the cauliflower is enough to cook itself.
  3. One large head should produce approximately 3 cups of riced cauliflower. The remainder can be used to make additional pizza crusts immediately, or can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  4. To Make the Pizza Crust:
  5. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Spray a cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
  6. In a medium bowl, stir together 1 cup cauliflower, egg and mozzarella. Add oregano, crushed garlic and garlic salt, stir. Transfer to the cookie sheet, and using your hands, pat out into a 9" round. Optional: Brush olive oil over top of mixture to help with browning.
  7. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven. To the crust, add sauce, toppings and cheese. Place under a broiler at high heat just until cheese is melted (approximately 3-4 minutes)

Fail Proof Pizza Dough Recipe

This recipe is on my list of recipes to try. The recipe originates from Lauren's Latest. On this website, she also gives instructions on how to turn this Fail Proof Pizza Dough into Cheesy Garlic Bread sticks, but the dough can be used for whatever type of pizza or bread sticks your heart desires.

Enjoy! Leave me a comment on how this recipe turned out in the comments section if you decide to try it!

Prep time: 2 hours 30 min
Cook time: 10 min
Ready in: 2 hours 40 min
Yields: 2-12 inch pizzas

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon honey {or sugar}
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive or canola oil
  • 3 cups bread flour {give or take 1/2 cup
  • depending on the heat & humidity}

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, preferably that of a stand mixer, stir yeast and honey into warm water. Sit for 5-10 minutes or until bubbles form and mixture starts to foam. This tells you that the yeast is alive and kicking. Pour in salt, oil and half the flour and mix.
  2. Once that flour is incorporated, start adding flour in bit by bit until you get the pizza dough to the consistency you want: slightly tacky, but when you touch it it doesn't stick to your hands.
  3. Once you reach this stage, turn the mixer on high to knead for 6 minutes. Turn a timer on and walk away! Resist the temptation to stop earlier than 6 minutes! That seems to be the magical number! The dough should be smooth and easy to work with. And the bowl should be clean!
  4. Lightly grease the bowl & the dough so it doesn't dry out, cover with plastic wrap and let it rise 1-2 hours.
  5. After the dough rises, preheat your oven to 500 degrees with pizza stone inside. {If you don't have a pizza stone, use an upside down cookie sheet.)
  6. Spread pizza dough out into a 12-inch circle on parchment paper. (This makes it easier to transfer to the pizza stone or cookie sheet)
  7. Now its time to add your toppings...use your imagination!
  8. After you add your toppings, transfer parchment paper onto pizza stone or cookie sheet and bake 9-10 minutes or until bubbly and golden. Remove from oven and cool 1-2 minutes before cutting.
